Alarm Ordinance
PURPOSE
1. The purpose of this ordinance is to
encourage Alarm Users and Alarm Businesses to maintain the operational reliability and
properly use Alarm Systems and to reduce or False Alarm Dispatch Requests and, thereby,
prevent the misuse of police resources.
2. This ordinance governs systems intended to summon police response, requires permits, establishes fees, provides for penalties for violations, establishes a system of administration, and sets conditions for suspension or loss of permits.
