This program provides employment assistance for low and very low income Bridgeport seniors. The Department of Labor leverages more than $300,000 per year to fund this project in the form of salaries for the seniors who are assisgned to do community service at a non-profit organization or a City office. The objective is to train seniors at these host agencies and eventually be hired on by them or another employer. They must be 55 years or older to enroll. This program is under Title V in the Older Americans Act.
